This isn't to say I haven't owned work trousers before, I have. I've had black ones mainly as I could never find them in another colour.
And they have fitted badly. Or were made from awful polyster or weird stretchy fabric. Too baggy on the hips, but tight on the waist, or just too loose all over. Too short as they only came in one length when legs come in all different lengths... you get the problem.
But when I saw these I thought perhaps at last I could have what I have always wanted: well fitting, well made taupe trousers for work.
Simply Be were kind enough to allow me to review them, and another item that I will post about soon.
They have an elastic waist, which to be honest I've never been that keen on as I don't want it to be obvious that I'm wearing elastic, but on these it looks fine when being worn.
And the colour? It's brilliant, it looks good with black, and I'll wear it with pastels in summer. Sorry to gush, but these fit well, have lovely soft material and are the perfect length. Delighted and off to buy them in black.
they look lovely on you - very smart. I think a navy top would go nicely with them too. xXx
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes, I have ordered a Navy Spot top to go with these!
DeleteThey look amazing! I have just clicked on the link to see them as well - did you get them in your normal size?
ReplyDeleteThanks, they are a 26. I would say that although they have elastic they are true to size, they just fit nicely!!! These are length 32 inches. A good length for me with little heels (I'm 5'8)
DeleteThey look fantastic on, I am looking for a nice pair of black trousers at the moment, will go take a look at these. x
ReplyDeleteThese are really great. I think it is the fabric and the cut that make them. They are fitting on my hips and waist whereas some I have had just flap about in the wind!
DeleteThey look great and you do in them - I love that top too!
ReplyDeleteIf you have time it would be great for you to show these off here - http://www.avenue57.com - I know a lot of other ladies would love to see you in these and many other things
Gina, THANK YOU!! I'm after some 'different' trousers for work, and although I'm allowed to wear jeans (helllllllllllllllllo red skinny jeans!), a staple black trouser has eluded me!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm a fan of tweed effect trousers... sadly not had a pair in my wardrobe for about 4 years now!
Thanks again my love,
K xx
I wear jeans too, but wanted an option for dressy meetings and presentations :) thanks for your comment!
DeleteThose trousers look great on you! I don't think I've ever owned smart trousers, but these ones look so good, that I might have changed my mind and think about ordering the black ones!

Black ones would be great with a dressy top for evening, but still loving the taupe!!! Cheers for lovely comment :)
