The 60's were more diverse fashion-wise than I had previously thought, but it many ways it was the Decade of the Legs. I have spent the last 37 years of my life not wearing anything that shows off my pins so perhaps it was good that I grew up in the Decade(s) of Jeans!
Here is my version of the look using commonly found household items, namely shoes I bought a while ago from a thrift shop, a Primark tunic (bought thinking it was going to be a dress but as you will see from the length it has been worn solely with skinny jeans), necklace from New Zealand and tights from Cette Dublin (the only ones I have found that fit!).
It's nice dressing up in something I wouldn't usually wear, but I must admit I wouldn't go out in this (as my husband said - if it bent over you could see my knickers!!!). So, I am being brave, but not that brave!
And yes, this is me wearing something else from Primark! What a cheapskate I am! But this top/dress/tunic was £10, and comparable ones from plus-size stores are three times the price. It's a size 20 (I'm not).
Swit swoo, sexy pins Mrs!!! Looking gooood!! I love a good primark find!! X x
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love a good bit of primari, but as the sizes only got up to a 20 you have to be a canny shopper! If in doubt try it on :)
DeleteLooks like we both noticed the legs of the 60s! Great look. I especially love the second pic!
ReplyDeletecheers! We did go for the same look a bit, although loved the stripes on your dress!
DeleteLove the look, it's amazing :)

DeleteVery cool! I really love the second picture - very 60s! I really need to have a butchers in Primark - if I can face the crowds... urghh!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to have fun when doing the pictures, bit weird for someone who hated having their picture taken for so long!
DeletePrimark in Cambridge is never that busy, very civilised. I have braved the Oxford St one but can never find anything!!!
I agree that second picture is sooo 60s, and you look fab....great legs, lady!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing! Definitely looks 60s. I love the floaty sleeves, monochrome look and your expression in both photos.
